Jack tossed the talking cheese back onto his plate in surprise and a little bit of disgust. He had seen a lot of bizarre thinks while in the time agency and as part of torchwood but never like this. He studied to whining block of half eaten cheese. He would have thought it impossible but time spent with a certain Doctor had taught him nothing was impossible. 

Jack was so focused on the animated cheese that he did not notice the tear open up. However, when a critter crawled out, he all but forgot about the cheeze. When the critter began to move aggressively towards the mad prince, Jack stood, his chair falling over backwards, and pulled out his sonic pulser. The pulser looked like a generic scifi laser pistol. He shouted, "Everyone get down!" as he fired a blast of sonic energy at the animal.
