I had two ideas, which I like about equally. 1. He could the chief spymaster for the evil queen, using his memory to keep tabs on everything that is going on in the kingdom. 2. He was sent to earth as one of the guardians for the royal children, his job is to educate them when the time comes, his perfect memory makes it easy for him to remember it all. The years have made him resent his job, he really wishes he didn't have to worry about it, his friendship with the other guardians is what keeps him from completely neglecting his duties.  

Also, on another note, is it ok if I recycle my version of Ilya Muromets (from the RP that DeadlyFairy ran) with some slight changes? I just wanted to make sure you were ok with reusing characters/we don't have too many good guys before making a character sheet.
