For the most part, they are weak to sunlight, wooden stakes, blood of the dead, and some herbal compounds. They can be "killed" like having their neck snapped or extreme trauma and it is like they were sleeping. 

They inject their venom through their fangs, turned vampires have more trouble controlling it, where as born vampires are taught from a young age how to control it, and the younger the vampire the more likely they are to just kill the victim straight up. Just like younger humans and the elderly are more.likely just to straight die from it.

Other than that, they tend to be reclusive for obvious reasons.
