@Lord Santa: As Rultaos said, Luminosity retains the same basic properties no matter it's shape. While Ki-Tan can be used to surpass the natural limits of the body even with Luminosity, it cannot alter your vision. Luminosity does only one thing - negate any other kind of magic. How it is delivered is up to the user. Of course, there are various improved variations of Luminosity, yet it does not change it's basic functionality into anything else.

Granted, due to various reasons Luminosity's limitations could be altered later on, but it would be during some significant plot events.
