Okay I kind of knew this was going to pop up
Beastmen of differing anima can't breed, they can fall in love and even marry but they won't have children. I know this sounds tough but it's to save myself the trouble of CatDogmen an BatBunnies running all over the place.
Now as for how Beast men appear that's another question I was asked PM that I'll answer here as well
If you're say a fan of full on Anima Furries and think you should appear more like an animal that walks upright then your parents and there's and those before likely have little or no Human blood in them
If you love the Cat girl look with basic ears and tail then your beastman likely comes from a human city or one of their parents did

As For the Kitsune Steam tech Engineer I'll have to say no otherwise the crew might be nothing but Elves, Oni an Beastmen; I had to do this to make human characters more appealing or they'd just be the help

Now should you be as I know many are a Lover of Kitsune I'd say make a lesser Crew member who is, heck I'd accept that they are a mechanic but not a Steam Engineer
