**Name:** Rylan **Class:** Myrmidon (--> Assassin) **Age:** 20 **Sex:** Male **Appearance:** ![enter image description here](https://36.media.tumblr.com/1e83492278b17e5cae671731161aa20a/tumblr_nib8q01vHl1rzxczio1_400.png "enter image title here") **Equipment:** Iron sword (x1), Vulnerary (x1) **Personality:** Rylan prefers to do things at his own pace, and..._somehow_ manages to stumble through life like that. Although he works as a mercenary, he is rather picky about the employers who hire him, and is driven more by his own ideals and morals rather than the promise of gold. He tends to come off as an easygoing individual, and it’s not uncommon to find a casual smile curled on his lips even in the most dangerous situations. However, despite what his seemingly “devil-may-care” personality may imply, Rylan is a rather observant individual. He may seem to lack any semblance of seriousness, but his senses are sharp and the gears of his brain are perpetually turning. Though he hides it behind a lazy smile and a carefree façade, he always makes certain to carefully analyze his surroundings and the people with whom he interacts with. He is a curious man, and is more than lightly to invade someone's personal bubble in interest of getting to know them better. Needless to say, it can be very frustrating to have to fend him off if you don't want to humour his questions, some of which might be quite personal. Overall, he comes off as a friendly individual, albeit one who is rarely honest about his thoughts and feelings. Rylan would be happy to lend an ear to someone who needed someone to listen, but the likelihood of him confiding his own insecurities or fears in another is slim to none. **Biography:** As the youngest son born into a noble house, Rylan would describe his early life to be indisputably _dull_. While he took quickly to swordplay and enjoyed poring over the various tomes that lined the walls of his father’s office, lessons—particularly etiquette—were a difficult trial for him to overcome. While he could not be considered an active child—with one of his favourite hobbies being finding nice places to take naps—he was infinitely curious about the world and its workings. Although it had started as a whimsical thought, the desire to leave the town he had been born in and to explore the land grew with each passing day. His decision to leave had not been something that he had carefully planned out, rather he quite literally awoke one day and decided that that was it—that was the day he would leave. With both an older brother and an older sister to carry on the family duties, he saw little reason as to why he should stay back in this boring place, particularly since he felt that his siblings embodied the "graceful and wise noble" ideal far better than he did. With nothing more than a letter that he left on his father's desk, Rylan packed his bags and left before dawn broke. Since then, he’s been traveling for the past two years as a mercenary. Although he usually camps outside due to lack of funds for an inn, he does not regret trading his soft bed and good food for the opportunity to learn of other countries and cultures.
