In desert terrain, I would expect tracked vehicles or hover craft, if that's your pleasure. But in either case, when attempting to establish contact with the enemy, an army would do so with the smallest element possible; a squad. More than likely, there are several squads several kilometers apart spread out over a very broad front. Behind them would be the rest of their platoon, probably two squads and some support weapons, plus their PL and PSG. Behind them would be their Company; another two platoons and the company level support weapons. Also, whatever indirect fire weapon systems are available to them, they would be available to make an impact on any known or suspected enemy (us) locations.

This could get exponentially larger, but hopefully, Park's platoon leader and/or company commander were listening in on the call for fire and are preparing the rest of the company to move to some sort of a defensive position, ready to accept a Salvesh attack.
