Relief flooded Ella as Marken began to urge her away from reliving her memories & insisted they should change the subject. She agreed with her fiance full-heartedly, turning to face him as she pulled her chemise back on correctly. Moving to the sofa, she didn't bother to redress, but wrapped the blanket around her shoulders & sat down on the side. She was trying to think of something to say, at least without needing more alcohol.
