Darius raised an eyebrow when Alaira dropped to the ground grabbing at her head. Something happened to her, but nothing happened to anyone else. Maybe the Psychomancer that Ssarak mentioned had done something to cause the half-elf pain. Either way, it stopped the situation from getting worse. The man in the robe began negotiating a fee for attacking the guardsmen. Darius didn't care what they were talking about. He was watching the guardsmen just in case one of them decided to attack. However yet again it was Alaira that attacked first. She ran at one of the guardsmen and tackled him to the ground. Her arms started crackling with energy. If it was anything like last time, the man was either dead or going to be very soon. With sigh, Darius ran over to Alaira, and after taking a few deep breaths, he pulled her off of the man with enough force to send her sliding back a few feet. He then looked at the guardsmen and put his hand on the hilt of his sword. "I do not believe that negotiations are an option anymore. Am I correct? And I will not allow you to take anything from the caravan. It is our job to ensure it arrives at Hysteria intact." Darius was ready. The prospect of a fight after having gone so long without one was an exciting one.
