Karn quickly lept off the man's lap so the stranger didn't have to be in the crossfire of claws. Quickly turning, the orange feline reached up his forepaws and clung his claws to the black cats shoulders, fangs digging into the scruff fur before throwing Kali off the man's lap. Spitting and hissing, his back legs kicked a bit at the belly fur before flinging himself away. His back arched and his fur fluffed and bristling. Tail lashing from side to side as his ears pinned back, letting out a hiss of warning to the other feline to stop. It wasn't the first time he'd fought a cat in his cat form. He may have no choice at this point but to change and ask the man for the book.
