Karn watched and listened as Sayuri and Maddox took down the rest of the Rune Knights, before blinking in mild surprise as Sayuri seemed to recognize this man named Wes. Maddox as well, but did not address the Gravity magic wielding man in the same friendly manner as the red haired girl. Maddox blatantly accused this Wes to be from that other world, but was not exactly the one they were going to save. Or is... Another Wes? He wasn't sure. His mind was a bit jumbled as he used his focus and strength to keep standing. 

It was then a odd voice was heard, one that was a bit distorted.

**"Now it isn't quite fair to gang up on one man."** It said, [a black cloaked figure](http://th06.deviantart.net/fs49/PRE/i/2009/170/0/6/Court_of_Blades_by_Esuerc.jpg) walking up behind Wes, wearing a white mask.

Karn blinked curiously, sniffing and his eyes narrowed. For some reason, this person smelled like heavy perfume, and it clouded his sense of smell. It was hard to tell recognize the actual scent of this person. But the large beast didn't have time to worry about it, as his pointed ears twitched in alert at the sound of something shifting. Panicked, the Chimera growled as he forced himself to jump, shoving the two guild members away just before black spikes appeared from the ground. Strong enough to pierce even his tough hide, going through the right side of his chest, stomach and left leg.

A pained roar escaped him, but his long fangs quickly bit down at the black spike, causing a shriek and a retreat to form what looked like [a black four legged creature. Four bright glowing slitted white eyes. It hissed and spat at the beast, who growled in turn but it's standing posture had lowered due to the injuries. The black creature growled, moving around the Chimera and biting at the legs, avoiding swipes and bites.

The mysterious figure watched the two beasts for a moment before looking at the two Guild members, though mostly at Sayuri. **"Please do turn back Sayuri. Your father would rather you leave unhurt."** they said softly. This figure wasn't known by many other than Masahiko and Sayuri, but they were simply referred as Wizard X.
