1) the bijou are not spirits. They are organisms made of chakra created by the sage of six paths. 

2) So far in the series when somebody met someone who was dead it was generally the effect of edo tensei or they were also dead. Kalashnikov saw who father who apparently also stopped him from passing on. Obito met Rin in a similar place. It can be assumed this space is a point between the plane of the dead and a plane of the living. 

3) I'm pretty sure the use of edo tensei explains that spirits are not used, rather the souls are. Souls and spirits are not the same. At least not to me. 

4) if it's the souls of ancestors I'd like you to provide a list of a few, 4 or 5, that he can summon. While thigs like names and stuff are important I don't care about that. I want their skills clearly stated. Giving you free reign with this ability kind of gives you fair opportunity to be op. Sorry but it really is an overpowered skill. It'd also be smart to transition spirits to souls as it makes more sense with naruto lore. 

5) Like I said with the chakra, the closest thing to it would be dark chakra and I don't think he's the evil type. So maybe his techniques are connected to the realm of the dead and he uses regular chakra. May be able to turn him into like the sage of the undead or a "ghost sage" but as of the undead there aren't really any real ghosts/spirits. 

6) I think with the points I have mentioned not much is really changing. Just certain basis which essentially aren't very canon and we should attempt to be as true to the source. I do accept anime things and I will accept certain non canon ideas, but as far as I know there are not actually spirits or ghost apart from people's beliefs. However this can all be worked in. So please do not be discouraged.
