Ayessa had come to seriously regret not having sought out some more practical attire before the mission. The other Jedi had, for the most part, been able to cast aside their outer robes and continue with only their tunics, not weighed down by excess fabric. She was not so lucky. As resilient as the filmy fabric making up her robes was, the jungle was worse. After the battle she had decided to tear the fabric from the knee down clean off to stop it catching on the underbrush. It was tattered, but some stretches might at least be useful for bandages. She did her best to keep up with the others, who seemed to take the harsh condition in their stride. Though by no means unfit, she was nonetheless used to a calmer life. A slight sense of dread came over her when she realised they had to climb the sheer cliff to get to their objective. Ayessa followed Zhiss up the cliff after only a brief rest to allow the more worldly Jedi to begin securing the path upwards. Ayessa may not have had much experience, but what she did have was the Force. Her sight and trust in the Force guided her hands and feet to secure holds in the rock, allowing her to nearly maintain pace with Zhiss, though Zhiss of course was much further ahead than her from starting sooner. Her muscles cried out in protest from the exercise, and she hoped she would not have to face any more Mandalorians blade to blade - their strength oriented style would easily batter down her defense in this state. The only mercy she had was the knowledge of exactly how much further she had to go - she could tell it was night time by the temperature of the air, but her sight was entirely unaffected by light levels. Her unique sight also allowed her to see when Zhiss reached the top of the cliff - and what awaited her there. A slavering beast had been sitting in wait for the erstwhile climbers, expecting an easy meal most likely. Even a Jedi would have trouble moving fast enough to defeat it from such a disadvantageous position. Ayessa secured her grip with her right hand and her feet as she watched her fellow Jedi and the beast stair each other down, raising her left hand to focus for a Telekinetic strike. Through the Force, she was able to strike a significant blow to the underside of the unsuspecting beast, taking it entirely by surprise. The beast was flung a little way into the air before landing on its back, scrabbling to its feet quickly, but now well out of its position and confused by the unexpected strike. Having bought Zhiss, or perhaps one of the other climbers, the time to deal with the creature properly, Ayessa turned back to the climb - she was not far from the top herself and if she had needed rest before, she was barely hanging on to the cliff now. The moment she reached the top, not far away now, she would kneel and focus inwards. A brief meditation would have to be enough to restore her flagging strength, for there were still many Mandalorians yet to face.
