OK souls and spirits. What's the big difference. Perhaps his clan calls them spirits. As for the boomerang thing. That picture demon suggested is still a boomerang. Just a metal bladed boomerang (much more like a ninja tool) just use it. Its a fancy weaponized boomerang so again no big deal.
