She heard the voice speak of a door, but she also imagined the same exact voice cackling behind their backs at how pitiful and how desparate they looked searching for a door that she believed....didn't even exist.  So instead of making a fool of herself like these two idiots, Evelyn remained in her corner, silently glaring at the two girls who scurried about searching for the supposed exit, just waiting for the hope to drain from their faces and fall to the floor.  "Just quit...."  She muttered under her breath, curling her legs closer to her.  "Why are you even bothering to search, when you know nothing is there?"
