I actually sort of assumed he wouldn't carry it around everywhere. I personally envisioned 'Unsubtle' usually kept in a really really large version of the rocket lockers that lands on a spot Marcus can designate with his scroll. For trips outside of the deployment range he treats it like a camper or a van rather than a weapon to take everywhere.

Although I really like the capsule or briefcase solution.
