Watching Mister Yelling Man be taken away and escorted out of the dining chamber, Marianne found herself frowning at the sight. True, he did barge into a private dinner, one she had admittedly sneaked in herself, but the thought of seeing her friend carted off so coldly was a little disheartening. At least, she figured they were friends already, seeing as the man had returned her wave. _"So would you care to introduce mother and I to the girl clinging to your arm like a lost puppy?”_ The Dark Mage smiled, taking no offense to the comparison. Perhaps she was just that; a lost puppy looking for a master to hold on to. Then again, she found Jacob to be much more _**interesting**_ than that, so she wouldn’t exactly categorize their blooming relationship into that category. Of course, she was specifically forgetting the fact that the two had only been in each other’s company for about…what, two hours at the most? “Ah, forgive me for not making my presence known, my Lady,” she said. “I am Marianne. And the fearless leader…Jacob, has taken the liberty of courting me though his fancy. He seems to be taking a liking to me…and it was all so sudden…it was such a rush when I offered him the severed eye as a token of my admiration! Oh, but the fearless leader is much too noble, and so denied my gifts…how humble he is.” Absolutely content with her speech and herself, Marianne promptly dragged Jacob away from the table over towards where some of the spare chairs lay. With one hand snaked around the Champion’s arm and the other clenching the chair, Marianne shuffled back to the table and took her place by his side, all while holding her claim over Jacob. “Apologies if that was too sudden,” she said softly to the Champion. Sighing happily, she leaned back in her seat and proceeded to partake in the best part about this dinner. Staring at Jacob as he ate.
