Luckily for him Shane had been standing dead center on one of the elevating platforms. He could overhear some struggle to get a footing and others prepare to go and the only thought going through his head was, "Looks like I'm going to have a lot of fun around here". A wide smile appeared on Shane's face. An obstacle course was Child's play. You don't last long as a thief without learning to adapt to your surroundings. Despite it being a while since he had to rely solely on himself and no aid from his powers Shane was sure he could do this. Looking around he noticed no one else had started off so he decided to take initiative. He bolted towards the nearest turrent and sure enought it as well as other nearby ones started firing at him. He darted side to side all the while closing the distance between himself and the closest turrent. With his blood pumping hard he began to climb up onto the turrent and just as he planned the others fired on the turrent right as he lunged away. "One less problem for you guys to deal with!", he yelled back at the other students.  He continued onwards but was stopped dead in his tracks almost falling over into the pit below. He couldn't tell what was down there(mostly because he was too busy focusing on the rest of the course) and simply took a few steps back to get a running start. This would prove to be a mistake as he completely forgot about the turrents until one fired and the projectile grazed his leg. "HOLY SHIIII-", he yelled before holding in the rest. It wasn't an actual bullet but it felt a lot like one. There was no doubt this pit was going to be harder to pass now. He ran as fast as he could pushing himself as hard as he could and when the ledge came he jumped like he had never jumped before. Unfortunately he didn't make the jump entirely and just managed to grab the other ledge and pull himself up.  Once fully on the other side he came up to these small ledges above murky pool of water. "Am I seeing this right? Looks like something is in the water! Forget it I ain't coming in last", he thought to himself as he grabbed onto the ledge and inched himself over. "Come on, come on can't let them get past me", he repeated to himself.
