Asa looked dubiously at the offered hand; did Nico really want to lose his arm? Because that’s what would probably happen with Tears of Blood unsheathed. Nico continued, saying something about sleep, and hunting; both of which sounded good to Asa. As Nico walked in what was apparently a northward direction, Asa loped along just behind him, being careful not to skewer him with his claws. As he walked Asa asked a question, one that mattered very much to him, “You aren’t carrying a collar, are you?” Asa didn’t bother waiting for an answer, his ears twitched, as he heard something up ahead. Flicking his tail, he bolted straight for the noise, forgetting Nico completely. A single wolf-like Grimm was in the clearing, as Asa entered, slashing through the thicket of bush blocking his way. Grinning he leapt forward, Tears of Blood slicing the Grimm’s flank. Rolling forward and using his momentum, Asa slid under the beast, slicing at its unprotected belly. Jumping to his feet on the far side, Asa misjudged and caught a claw across the side, he howled and let the wolf in him take over; lunging, slicing, and twisting, without thinking about it. By the time it was over Asa had received another slice, this one across his shoulder. But the Grimm was dead, and Asa, a lone figure in the middle of its carcass. Shaking off the single-mindedness, Asa finally remembered Nico and looked around to try and find him. Without Nico, Asa was likely to get lost in this wood, not to mention the whole partner thing. …Oh …damn, …partner, Nico was supposed to be his partner. Guiltily Asa realized he had dashed straight after the first sign of a fight, leaving Nico, somewhere behind.
