###**Finnegan's Tradehouse** Dai'Kronna had been near the front doors of Finnegan's when *something* happened. Peeking through a large hole in the wall caused by some idiot using armor piercing rounds, Dai'Kronna had to stop in his tracks after what he had seen. the chaos he expected from outside was exactly what he expected and something completely different. The Draconians had been firing at some aliens he had never seen, winged beings were descending from the heavens and *something* was ripping open reality above his head. He didn't really know how to describe it, but it was slowly coming upon the tradehouse and numerous smaller *things* were swarming around eating or dissolving everything they came in contact with. As the Draconian tanks overloaded themselves and gunships began to fall from the sky the familiar panic of Iggi burst over the come net. As his adjutant talked Dai'Kronna could not take his eyes away from the carnage. "Surface-Admiral, there's something else. It. It just showed up boss. One of the other Trackers tried to get a read on it. There was sensory overload, the poor fool tried to claw his eyes out sir. Sir, we gotta get outa this mess soon. What are your orders?" In an eerie calm Dai'Kronna continued to watch as the titan-spawn tore at the fabric of reality arround them. "Iggi, do you Grund have any deities who destroy everything they cross and are wholly unknowable and seemingly unstoppable" "Sir you know the answer is yes, our religion is a brutal one and has many deities and many of them are aspects of destruction. This doesn't seem like the time to mock my faith as you normally do sir, why are you asking?" Iggi's voice had begun to pick up twinges of dread over the normal panic. The titan had begun to take on shape as more ships fell from the sky, "And Iggi, do your holy texts ever say how to kill them?" "No sir, Destruction Gods were wholly unstoppable, to stay their wrath you must either hide or run. Now please give us orders, the Kriel Delegate has soiled his crash suit and won't stop sobbing into my sub arms." "Heh. I was afraid you'd say that Iggi," the calm in Dai'Kronna's voice was replaced with the harsh tone of an officer of his standing, "Time to bug out Iggi, the place is compromised, Make a break for the ship as fast as your suit drives will take you. Bust through anything that tries to stop you, walls, men, monsters, I do not care what gets broken so long as you get yourselves and the civvies to the ship safely. Leave my suit and I'll catch up with you. There is no time to loose." There was silence on the ComNet for a moment before Iggi acknowledged "Roger bossman. Get out safely or your brother will have my head sir!" Soon after a pair of antitank gravity gun slugs demolished much of one of the Inn wings and nearly two dozen armored figures shot out at breakneck speeds making a Beeline back to their ship, the massive armored suits of the serpentine Grund carrying smaller suited individuals in their lower set of arms. Pulling himself away from the carnage, Dai'Kronna made his way back to where is quarters once were, dodging fairies armed with a truly motley assortment of weapons in their hands. He managed to reach the wing of the Inn section where his suit was located when a small swarm of Aeon crawled in through the massive holes left by his departing men. He drew the light shattershot at his side and fired on one of them. The Hypersonic shards fired from the massively bored pistol shredded the semi-ethereal monster and even two of its close friends. But there were others now, many others and he was running out of ammunition. He slipped the last crystalline cylinder he had in his belt into his weapon and adjusted the spread setting on his gun to the lowest. Taking careful aim he made every shot count as he fell back to his quarters. From an intersection one of the creatures lashed at him and took away a large chunk of one of his calves with it. Falling to the ground outside his door Dai'Kronna wasted three precious shots on the monster that "bit" him. The bite hadn't struck a major artery but hid had erased virtually every tendon and ligament there was there. Dai'Kronna made a mental command and his implants began to flood his body with synthetic adrenaline and a number of other carefully blended chemicals to keep him in fighting shape for just a little longer. Forcing himself up against the doorframe he thrust his shoulder into the door as hard as he could, pushing off with his non shredded leg. The combination of drugs and already cybernetically and genetically augmented muscle snapped the hinges of the wooden door off and flung it and Dai'Kronna into the floor of the room with a thud and a groan. Standing up before him was his suit of [Command Armor](http://i.imgur.com/AZWDJY1.png)in standby mode. Another one of the Aeon spawn had gnawed through the wall and began to scuttle towards Dai'Kronna as he got back onto his knees. It was met with a hail of crystalline shrapnel as Dai unloaded what remained of his magazine into the creature and tossed his pistol to the side. Another Mental command caused the back of the armor to open like a blossoming flower. Dai gingerly stepped into the waiting powered armor and felt it close in around him. There was a sudden chill as the interface spikes of the armor found their sockets in Dai's back and neck however after they locked into place his senses were suddenly that of his armor. The sensor tendrils of the head pulsed outwards, flailing slightly before retracting back into their protective housings in the helmet. Dai'Kronna flexed the muscles of his armor and felt slightly safer. Only slightly though, the creatures had eaten tanks and gunships just as easily as they had wooden walls, so it probably didn't matter that his Command suit was made of the same living armor as Cephalid warships. He'd have to rely on the suit's speed and agility to keep him safe. He activated the counter-grav systems of his armor and began to hover off the ground slightly. The beauty of Counter-grav is that while his suit was built for making amphibious strikes, its methods of movement were just as effective in water as they were in the air. As he moved to leave, the swarm of spawn from earlier had finally caught back up with him. Hissing the Cephalid equivalent to a laugh, Dai'kronna raised one of his arms and opened fire with the suit's integrated heavy graser. The coherent beam of Gamma rays was primarily meant to crack open, or in its case melt and burn through, other heavy armored units. Using it on the spawn was like using a rocket launcher to kill a rat. He hoped he hadn't caught anyone in the crossfire, but he was rapidly reaching the point of not caring as he felt the punch of acceleration as his Counter-grav systems hurtled him away from the dying tradehouse and towards the fast frigate he and the others had arrived on. In the chaos no one even noticed the lone armored figure streaking across the rapidly getting more congested sky.
