Sniffling Ezri tried to compose himself, he heard the small hiss from his cat, and then Jaron's suggestion to leave and he nodded, he wiped the tears from his eyes and turned around. His mouth dropped when he saw Everest as a human, he knew it was Everest because of the same color pattern on his ears and tail. Ezri knew that Everest was special and could talk, but the last thing he had anticipated was that the cat has become human. When he heard snarling from down stairs, Ezri started to sway, it was a creature.

"We have to get out of here, and fast," Everest commented, from a pouch around his waist, he withdrew dust that he sprinkled on Jaron and Ezri, "As humans your scents would be detected, this should help cover it up. Now, we cannot leave from the front door, we'll be quickly detected. I suggest we take the back door."

Ezri opened his mouth to speak, "Which means... we have to go down stairs." He gulped and gripped on to his flashlight and Jaron.

"Up for the challenge pretty boy?" Everest offered a snide remark to Jaron.
