Astrid
Astrid stared at the ringing phone aggravated by Nicole's lack of answering. Sighing in frustration she brushed the hair out of her eyes, over to the right side of her head. She let her hand graze along the shaved part of her head as she did so. Jerking her head up at the sound of the door opening she looked right into the eyes of a brunette. "Oh my god. Weren't you in that explosion earlier? Are you sure you're okay?" The girl screamed out at her. Astrid blinked clearly confused by the girl's actions. She paused not sure exactly how to word what she was feeling. "Why the fuck are you yelling?" Shaking her head at the crazy lady in her house she turned her back to her and grabbed another bite of mashed potatoes. "And how the fuck did you get in here?" She spoke with her mouth full ignorant of any manners she should have. Just then the Nicole answered on the other side of the phone. Muttley she could hear a "Hello?" ring out. "Thank god," she muttered to herself and leaned against the counter, looking towards the girl. Studying her she spoke fast into the phone. It was something that happened to her often when she was feeling good. Her brain worked itself into overdrive and everything seemed to connect faster for her. Thus she needed to vent the information faster too. She loved the feeling it gave and had named it "The Surge", though others might call it temporal ADHD. Somehow she wasn't able to recreate the feeling artificially, though it was still a work in progress. "Nicole 'bout time you answered you fucking phone. I swear you probably high right now. Are you high right now? God damn you are, that is going to make this so much harder. Listen to me, somethings happened here and I need you back here. Like at home. You know where we live. I hope. And also we need more food, I'm hungry. Like starving, I just cleaned out the entire fridge. No actually forget that, I can get food later, just get back here. Fast. That means now." She clicked the phone off before Nicole had the chance to get a single word out and tossed it on the counter. Looking up aimlessly her vision caught the girl again. "Oh you're still here, I thought you had left. We okay that's fine, doesn't matter to me, just move." She gestured with her hands to the side. "Yes yes, hurry along your standing dead center in the hallway, what wrong with you?" Shaking her head she strode past the girl towards the door to her room. Pausing as she opened the door, she turned her head back to her, "and yes i'm completely fine, better even.
