Polaris It had been a while since she had seen a warrior that would hopefully give Wrensthav more than a little trouble. Tendrils of orange started to swirl around him as he prepared for his first attack. In an instant, He was already in front of the Pretty Elf-lady. His blade, an arced blur of gold slicing upward. Somehow, the fearsome attack was parried away and the silver-haired woman moved but a step to the side. But she does look annoyed for some reason. Polaris though to herself. Maybe she poured some magic power into her blade for the parry. Magic nullifying items and techniques must be a rarity in this world. Wrensthav rarely used Bergecrest for this reason as it greatly lessened the magical advantage of himself and his opponent. We did hear something of this character taking down dragons or controlling them. Hopefully she doesn't learn the true weakness of Wrensthav's fighting mentality. Several more clashes chimed out from the beautiful blades every time they kissed. No doubt the higher bell-like notes came from the crystal sword, the golden sword sounding more like a gong. Surprisingly the two notes harmonized quite well. Several moments passed before Wrensthav embedded the sword into the ground. The two of them clashing was quite a sight. More like glimpsing two ancient specters fighting over the outcome of this holy ground than a friendly sparring match. Taking a second to pour magical power into some hand signs, Wrensthav’s gloves visibly glowed orange from the interweaving lines that swam across the surface. “I ask for the aid of that which answers to the void archive, come forth and heed my call, nine knives!” He casually touched the ground before grasping the golden blade once more. Nine small, dark portals manifested from the ground on the outskirt of a summoning circle made of runes. Coming from these portals, were nine small throwing knives that soon orbited around their caster. “About time you stopped playing around!” I yelled at Wrensthav. I did not enjoy seeing how much fun he was having with this evaluation. “Thanks for the warm-up, but it seems my companion is getting impatient. Hopefully our next few exchanges will determine the outcome of this sparring match.”
