They could care if they are suspected to have been involved. The Camarilla isn't exactly looking for a war with Human Hunters or Werewolves, but that doesn't mean that a chaotic political situation in London wouldn't incite vengeful acts by Kindred, within the bounds that The Masquerade allows. I mean, Hunters may relish the opportunity to kill Vampires, but at what cost to the unknowing majority of metropolitan London? (If some of them even care about what happens to normal civilians either, many may not)

It would be in their interests to ensure that they are not the subjects of retribution (Regardless of whether they actually had a hand in it or not). Whether they choose to aid the Camarilla in their investigation or not is another matter.
