Gritting her teeth Meirin took a defensive stance once the battle went under way. She was not fooled by the robed man's lies when he said he was a Demonomancer, as Ssarak told her the truth before hand. She focused on the guardsmen near her and Darius. Luckily two fled before the fight evening out the numbers. The pale guard screamed at them, but Meirin wasn't going to just stand there and take it. Just as he attacked Meirin moved forward and dodged him. As he lunged to where she once stood Meirin raised her monk's spade to chop him in the back of the head. That's when she saw the demon. She hesitated just long enough that after she swung her weapon, she only managed to leave a graze in the pale guard's back.

Meirin resumed her defensive stance but glared at the demon before her eyes. Ssarak had told her that the robed man was a Psychomancer, and it wasn't as though she didn't believe him. But this demon... Meirin did not want to expose herself to this monster. This is what they came for, wasn't it? To find out where these demons were coming from? Meirin's mind raced before realizing that she was in a bad position. Two against one wasn't good even if one of her opponents was a scruffy guardsmen. It was obvious to her that this pale guard was not normal if his teeth and demeanor was anything to go by. [i]"Focus Meirin! Take them out one at a time!"[/i]

The demon made a sweeping attack at Meirin which she dodged easily. She used the momentum to preform a weaving technique while she was in the air. It was a wind one which she can use to propel her in any direction once she finished the movements, and she decided to jump over the pale guard and towards Ssarak's opponent, the much more skilled and better armed guard captain. She also used her wind weaving technique to push the pale guard down, which should give her some time to help Ssarak. Once she landed Meirin flanked her new opponent with Ssarak, who had just attempted to tackle the guard captain. Taking just a moment to analyze the situation Meirin swept at the captain's legs. She would help Ssarak knock the captain down and finish him off taking out one of the bigger threats in this fight.
