According to the wiki, many hunters work either solo or in small cells, sometimes dedicating themselves to fighting all creatures of darkness, or specializing in particular ones. Larger groups, called compacts and conspiracies (Like the modern day Inquisition, The Society of Leopold) which wield global reach and influence at their disposal.  

Some hunters are indiscriminate in what creatures they kill, viewing all with equal disdain, other rarer groups offer forms of redemption or penance, as they do not view ALL creatures of darkness as inherently evil.
