Even though Seren knew Alexis couldn't hear her, she spoke. "Yes, I know. It's meant to be that way." 

Seren looked around before picking up Alexis bridal style. She ran with her vampire speed towards the forest that was just outside the city. She ran into her cave and slowed down, setting Alexis on her cot. 

It was obvious now that she would become a vampire, and Seren growled softly. She then ran back out to the city to drink a little more blood.
