"What do you do? Magic?" The girl asked, shifting back into a humanoid shape. 

"It's a type of hologram. It looks and feels like whatever I tell it to." He crossed his arms over his chest. He had to look up at Chii as she was taller than him. "Like, if I wanted this to be the bottom of a lake-" He typed on a key board. "-it would feel like we were drowning." He pressed enter. 

The room shifted and blinked out for a moment before fazing back in. Zmerr and Chii were surrounded on all sides by water. The girl struggled as the sensation of drowning settled in. Zmerr just sank to the floor with a look of amusement and pride. His machine worked so beautifully. He smirked as he was able to slough off the feeling of suffocation. 

"Of course," His voice was unhindered. "It's all an illusion."
