Ash lowered the vest. She mentally prepared to dodge, even though she was pretty sure that the bullet would hit her before the sound reached her ears. Her grey hair, her slightly bloodshot eyes, and her slightly pale skin would have told the soldier everything, unless she was beginning to see things. "I'm Ash. And you're bitten," groaned Ash. Apparently, the woman spent her last bullet trying to shoot her. And unless she fancied death by a crowbar, she would probably have to give her a bullet of her own.
