It's interesting but really it felt the same as the Antman trailer, just didn't deliver any hype for me.
Well I see what you mean. And honestly I don't really think I can trust companies than marvel to make movies about the marvel characters, but overall, I still feel that as a trailer it was better than antman. Plus I think miles teller and Michael b Jordan are pretty awesome actors. Not like rdj great, but pretty awesome. I can't wait to see them as Johnny storm(Jordan) and reed Richard(teller).
Days of future past was the best marvel movie to date, the other marvel were good but not as good as that movie
I respect your opinion, but I'm gonna have to disagree. Personally, I think the best marvel movie to date is a tie between cap 2 and guardians. Cap 2 because it was genuinely interesting to me, fleshed out cap, widow, fury, and introduced falcon. It had some amazing action sequences as was just really well directed in my opinion. Guardians because it pulled away from the more ground, gritty tones we've been gettin from almost everything. The humor and action impacted well, the drama wasn't like amazing but it worked well and it really did feel like a "comic book" movie to me. I liked those two more. Also, technically X-men isn't really considered a "marvel" movie, it's like a fox movie using marvel characters. Regardless i think wolverine is a little too over hyped and over used in the movies. It was a great movie, and like I said I respect that opinion, but I have to disagree xD *note the number of times I made sure not to like dismiss the opinion* lol I got into an argument once because people wanna put wordsin my mouth xD
But that's the problem Cap 2 having action is nothing new in this day and age, and Guardians of Galaxy was like watching Star Wars and Star Wars while great is not that complex of a story. X-men was a better in my opinion, it had a good amount of action, really great stakes and a great story as well as incredible character development. This scene for me had way better meaning than any Marvel movie. Marvel movies are entertaining and that's it for me, Days of Future Past was something different and not your typical superhero flick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCKWK6Bgktk
But it isn't just the action that makes Cap2 great. The pacing is pretty amazing. Plus it brings in variables one might not expect. It shows something else other movies involving Cap don't. IE he doesn't stand for America despite the name. He stands for Freedom, and morality. And even then he has to question his beliefs because of the trust issues with Fury. The whole HYDRA plan is also pretty high stakes. Plus Cap need to faCE his BEST Friend. He has to get through to him and stop him, but the usual won't cut it. He can't just beat him down, because it's Bucky. Not to mention Widow goes from being pretty much a side character to a more integral part of the film. The chemistry between her and Cap is pretty awesome. Plus I love the mall scene where she kisses Cap to make the guy uncomfortable so he looks away. Using psychology like that was brilliant. You brought up the stakes, but I feel the stakes were fairly high on both ends. Now at the end you said days of future past wasn't the typical superhero flick, which I have to disagree. I didn't really see anything out of the ordinary for a superhero concept. Or a basic time travel movie concept much either. Even the scene you linked. Yes it was powerful scene, but it certainly doesn't set a precedent for one character meeting his or her future/past self and needing to overcome certain traumatic events. Also... I don't really feel Wolverine was needed... It could have literally been anyone. But I love him so he's not a problem. But aside from that, from a narrative standpoint I have some serious problems. Quicksilver, what kind of idiot move was it to leave him. I know there can be Assumed(keyword) reasons, but at least give a little something as to why you'd leave someone who could make things A LOT easier. Magneto hitting Mystique with the bullet. Yes, he can control the bullet, but last I checked he was tackled. How the hell did he know where she would land and be able to hit her o_o Overall, I think it could have been better. It's like my 3rd favorite, but it could have been better. Cap2, Guardians for reasons of being vastly different compared to most if not all superhero movies as of late, and then X-Men. I enjoy debating with you >_>
