Yeah, the carbonation makes the spice much, much worse. Turns it from a burn to 'my tongue is melting' pain.

EDIT: Unrelated- my future husband does that infodump thing, but specifically toward animals... He's just got a serious knack, and he knows a lot. He'll just be talking about some species of African gazelle, an I'll be staring at him like "...~<3"
