He is able to communicate fluently to all types of robots, and in some cases, command them. The cybernetic receptors also work as mental blockers, scrambling telepaths from peering into his mind. Weaknesses: He does not possess any super powers. Magnus may be in a league of his own when it comes to unarmed combat, but in return he has terrible marksmanship. Therefore, his abilities are fully utilized when up close and personal with his target(s). Personality: Charismatic, Boisterous, Charming, Intelligent, Thoughtful, Loud, and sometimes obnoxious, surly and temperamental. History: Magnus was born on alternate Earth 3927, where machines ruled over humans with an iron fist. 1A, a self-aware robot, raised Magnus on his own to become the savior of humanity that would free the humans from their robotic oppressors. 1A trained Magnus with a 'perfect' method that allowed him to destroy machines with his bare hands. 1A also surgically implanted a cybernetic receptor inside Magnus' head that allowed him to understand 'machine talk.' Liberating Earth from the machines was a long and brutal process. The final battle was on board an orbiting space station where the ultimate super computer was installed. Destroying it would create a domino effect back on Earth, rendering every machine inert, thus freeing the humans completely from their rule. Fighting through the station with his bare hands, he eventually comes across an advanced cyborg machine - the ultimate combat bot and host of the super computer. They fought in a frenzied, gut-wrenching slug fest until Magnus finally defeated it. However, before the super computer permanently shut down, it captured Magnus in a gravitron teleporter sequence, encapsulating him in a time stream stasis field until he crash landed onto a barren moon. Magnus hitchhiked between star systems, looking for a way to return to his homeworld. He then encountered a green-colored alien named Drax. They fought across a desolate planet for an entire day before finally negotiating a truce. Impressed by Magnus' skills, Drax offers him a chance to become a Guardian of the Galaxy. Magnus tells the alien his plight, explaining how he liberated Earth from the machines and how he simply wishes to return. Puzzled, Drax informs him of the current time line and status of Earth 616, suggesting that Magnus may be from an entirely different universe. Shocked by this revelation, he demands to go to Earth and confirm this for himself. Upon doing so, he witnesses firsthand that Drax's Earth is not his at all. Frustrated by these turn of events with no where to go, over time he finally accepts Drax's offer and enlists as a Guardian candidate. Magnus hopes that by joining this band of cosmic super heroes, they will in turn, find a way to get him back home.
