Equipment Image Image Image History Lucas grew up in a dangerous neighborhood with his older bother Nikolai Valuev. They jumped from shelter-to-shelter and fought for their survival in the mean streets before eventually ending up in a soup kitchen where they met Francisco Duran. Duran was a volunteer at the establishment but also a trainer and owner to one of the local boxing gyms in the city. Out of the kindness of his heart, he took the Valuevs in and let them sleep at the boxing gym if they wanted, provided they maintain the facility. Nikolai's love for the sport grew tremendously and he instantly wanted to become a professional boxer. Lucas didn't share the same enthusiasm, but loved the idea that you were allowed to hit somebody inside a ring and not get arrested for it. For the next several years, the Valuevs trained hard and had great amateur careers. By the time Nikolai was 30, he had become a world champion in multiple divisions, getting fame and recognition beyond his wildest dreams. Lucas was shown to be a prodigy himself but chose not to follow in his brother's footsteps. Instead, he choose a more infamous one in the underground dealings of bare knuckle boxing matches held by various organized crime syndicates from all over. With an unofficial record of 112 wins and 3 losses, he was known as "The Crowbar" by how easily he got through his opponent's defenses. He became a prizefighter for the Russian Mafia but made sure his partnership with them only stopped there. Fighting in unsanctioned bare knuckle boxing matches was one thing, but getting involved with some of the worst criminals in the world was something he just couldn't do. Or so he thought. He still remembers the day he got the phone call about his brother's murder. It was like a spell had been cast and a veil of rage had taken a hold of him. Vengeance took over his fighting spirit and it festered inside him like a cancer. He went to the streets to get what information he could and eventually found answers. Tied to one of the bigger street gangs of the city, The Black Lions, it turned out that Nikolai's death was a result to one of Lucas' winnings in a Bare Knuckle match. One of the higher ranks in the Black Lions had bet against Lucas and lost a lot of money for it. In retaliation, they went straight for his brother Nikolai. What followed was a violent snowball of events that hurdled Lucas into a very dark place. He would eventually get his vigilante justice against TBL, but in the process retain immeasurable guilt for the lost of Nikolai that still eats away at his soul to this day.
