With a fake smile he shook hands with this guy, Andrew, and welcomed him to the group. He didn't quite welcome their addition to the group, but they might need them indeed. On their 'mission' any helping hand was great. Then again, he was more than 100% sure that these two, Andrew and Zoe, were most definitely better off by leaving now. But alas, they had joined them now. Alex placed himself in the trunk of the original pick-up again after introductions were over, and let himself be lulled into sleep by his exhaustion and the prospect of the horribly uncomfortable ride to come.
