"O-Oh, I see..." Matt trailed off while he watched the business card disappear right under his nose. That wasn't suspicious at all. He would have given Daemon's excuse a bit more thought but he was hungry and groggy. "Sorry 'bout the accident..." Matt rubbed his eyes and clapped his hands together. "Alright, well we've done enough lollygagging today! I'm gonna make something quick to eat--oh, and I'll get you a glass of water." Matt rushed to the kitchen and started getting silverware out. The state of the ingredients in Daemon's apartment really needed some stocking if he was going to be eating here in the mornings. Matt ate all the bread in the house the other day, so the only thing he managed to find was leftovers of what looked like pasta, which he had no other choice to eat. Didn't taste half bad for probably being a boxed dinner. Matt sat down at the living room table and paused to look up at Daemon. He slid a glass of water over to his co-worker. "Oh yeah, I forgot...you can call me Matt, by the way. That's my actual name." He chuckled casually and continued to eat his breakfast, mumbling, "I actually kind of like this..."
