James is not on the ground at the top of the hill, he is on a platform on top of the hill because he made a wall (a non-moving and non-shadow wall). Shane would need to go up to him. He is also currently anchored down and in the path of the tornadoes that Jack made. Visibility is also low, but I suspect Shane might have less trouble with that. But for the sake of simplicity I will say he is on the ground.

I don't think so. She just needs practice using them and maybe a little creativity. That's what James has to do.
