Name: Ramon Othane Age:18 Appearance: Short red brown hair, light brown eyes, 6'1, thicker build than the picture implies. Weapon: One and a half hand blade approximately two feet long. Background: Ramon was born under of a wealthy family that valued hard work, whether it was via school, sports, or anything someone took passionately to. At the early age of 5 his parents began to train him in martial arts before grade school in order to get a jump start on discipline and good behavior. This also put the family's values into young Ramon's mind. Through the coarse of his schooling Ramon's skill in both academics and martial arts progressed greatly. However, he became very violent when provoked into a fight both in and out of school, contradicting his usually gentle and caring nature. As he went to more and more tournaments and thrashed the competition he earned the nick name Evil Angel for the extreme difference between him in and out of combat. As he soared in his combat career he did so in academics as well. He showed no sign of slowing down either. Being the school treasurer, captain of the martial arts team, and valedictorian made him the most popular kid in high school, and gained him instant acceptance into BU. Personality: Gentle, hardworking, and caring, but when in combat ( martial arts are hapkido, eskrima, and tae kwon do) he is a completely different person, brutal, vicious, and unrelenting, nothing stops him from achieving victory short of a stronger opponent. Quote: "It's not that I care about winning, it's just that if I don't give it my all what's it for? When you do something, it's worth doing right." Sample writing: "I'm breaking up with you, Ramon." It came so suddenly, Cecilia, Ramon's girlfriend of two years, decided to just up and dump him for seemingly no reason. He looked at her questioningly wondering if it was some sort of joke or if she was serious. "I'm bored of dating you. We've been dating two years and we haven't gotten passed kissing yet, so I'm leaving you." Cecilia turned on her heel and strutted out of the school. Dumbfounded, Ramon began to walk away, a blank stare sitting awkwardly on his face as his mind processed the information. When he realized what had just happened, sadness coursed through his veins, then, anger. He ran to his school of martial arts, getting ready to throw himself at whoever wanted to fight him that day. He didn't care who it was he just wanted to expel some anger. Ramon took his stance against a 12th year tae kwon do student, eager to take a shot at him. The bell rang and the student dashed forward a roundhouse kick speeding shortly after it. Ramon side stepped it, dropped to one knee and threw out his leg into the other student's off balance leg throwing him of balance and into the air, as he fell, Ramon got up onto one knee and shot out a straight punch knocking him out of the ring. His next challenger, a 9th year eskrimador, double blade sparring. When the bell rang Ramon shot out a left blade fake and dashing forward going to work with his right blade, cross slash, jab, abinico, unrelenting strikes of power and skill tore him to pieces. Yet another disappointing challenge, but it was good for blowing off steam. As the next challengers proceeded to lose to Ramon's unrelenting, brutal strikes. His mind began to clear. As the last challenger fell, Ramon headed home. Ramon collapsed onto his bed, going through mail and sulking about his failure of a relationship. At least I'll be out of here soon, then I'll begin a new life at BU can begin, who knows? Maybe I'll find someone new. Maybe I won't. But I'm going to be the best Neurosurgeon out there, and I'm going to change people's lives for the better. I'll do whatever it takes. He fell asleep a few moments later. As he slept he saw his house burning mother and father inside, himself out. He tried to save them, but as he ran they got farther and farther away until they were nothing but a spec on the horizon. Ramon woke up screaming at 3:00 am. That's the twelfth time this month...
