It's a world without magic, so magic doesn't work there (unless the pills are still a thing. Probably not considering all magic was sucked out of it buuuut dunno)

And there is some sort of version of characters there that can look the same but be totally different.

Like

Earthland Karn: Kind happy to lucky and friendly.

Edolas Karn: Bitchy asshole who'll smack a bitch for looking at him.
