Makoto just stared at Flood. She didn't think he was a telepath but how did he know she had been thinking about the paint bombs.

[b]"Thanks..."[/b] she said hesitantly. Curiosity over taking her she asked what she thought may have potentially been an inappropriate or rude question. [b]"Flood, what are your powers exactly?"[/b] Makoto was prepared to answer the question back to the best of her ability if he asked her in turn. Due to her focus on figuring Flood's powers out it took her a moment to catch what he had said to/about Ryan. Makoto guessed he was generally an energetic guy. 

Makoto still wanted to offer her help, even if it was only a little bit but she was so new... it didn't feel right in this setting to do so. Especially since she wanted to keep Phoebe as a friend, she didn't want to accidentally step on any toes.
