Sleep was optional, or at least it was for Kagerou. The majority of the night she spent meditating. In this case it was a technique that she had developed over time to help her get in character. Akin to hypnotism she created a persona over her own. It was not a simple thing to do and could be dangerous depending on the result. It was effective against telepaths though since she believed the manufactured lie. It was a very real possibility that early attempts left her missing periods of her memory and even loss of her original self. In the end though she passed out as per usual.

Waking the next morning with a headache she sat up with a start. The rush left her dizzy and clutching her head. "Damn, not again." Glancing around Kagerou was confused as to where she was. It took a few minutes before it became clear. "Right, I'm at the academy." It crossed her mind that if anyone was around she would probably sound strange talking to herself. Getting ready for the day she headed for the cafeteria to get something to eat. Her head was still hurting and she rubbed her head as she looked for a place to sit.
