Amy's breath rushed out in a "Woosh" as she found herself on the ground. She supposed she deserved that, and she started to laugh, breathlessly. It caused her to probably look like a baffoon as she tried to catch her breath, laughing silently. It took her a few moments, but she soon had her breath caught. Her face was red, from the laughing, as she sat up, and looked to Jack. "Girls get set upon by the dragons, too Jack. And it can be a lot worse for them. Unless those in the dragons swing to males, that is" her eyes went distant, remembering how she had nearly been such a victim. She shook her head, and sighed, "I wanted to be able to defend myself. To defend others" She said, falling silent as Angelo rose to talk. She swallowed, looking down at her hands, still sitting on the floor, making no move to get up. She sighed again, and shifted crossing her legs, listening still. "I don't want to be one of those people that just turn the other cheek when someones being hurt. I don't want to just think, 'thank god it's not me'. I want to be able to help them, to be able to protect them. And perhaps most important, I don't want to be a victim" she said when the guy had finished speaking, before falling silent once more.
