You'd be surprised by some of the weird and creepy fetishes out there. But that isn't the point. 

Another isn't really a shounen anime, or marketed towards the same demographic. It's all business. Who you're target audience is plays a huge role. This doesn't mean you always get the audience targeted, but it does apply to the what aspects are accentuated and what's put into what is being created.
