Beatrix
"I'm feeling just fine," she growled, crossing her arms impatiently. "It's you idiots that are off. What the hell kind of questions are those? This is Earthland, no? Moron." Another, more familiar voice sounded to her side, prompting Beatrix to turn and see the same woman that she almost fought in Magnolia. Only somewhat different. "Oh great, this one again..." Beatrix muttered to herself, closing her eyes and shaking her head. "You know what? I'm done with all this." She uncrossed her arms and leaped forward, landing on the Legion's back. After standing upright she faced the three before her. "Today I've only met freaks and idiots. I've been waiting for years and I'm not going to wait any longer." She gave the creature she was standing on a light tap with her foot before pointing towards the sky. "Fly!" The Legion didn't seem to react to her command, frustrating her further. She gave another tap with her foot, this time a bit stronger. "Go!" Now the beast moved a bit, but only so it could see who was standing on it. "Grrr. Forward! Up! Off the ground!" The Legion looked away now, apparently confused as to her intentions. "How do you work this damned thing!?" She gave a deliberate stomp of frustration, making the Legion let out a grunt from the impact.
???
The room was dark. There were no windows, only a single candle sitting on a desk. The low-light made it difficult to make out the features of the man sitting at the desk. He appeared to have no shirt, revealing a buff and defined body with several tattoos across it. His hands, however, had fingerless gloves and were easy to see as they were at work on the desk. He was clearly writing something on a piece of paper, using pen and ink. A door on the other side of the room opened, letting in a wave of light and illuminating some of the dark room. "Master," the intruder said. It was a large, burlesque man that appeared to be in his fifties that still retained a fit physique. "What is it, Ursus?" the man behind the desk responded. Now that there was more light, it was evident that he had spiky red hair that almost reached his shoulders at its longest point. A guild mark was visible on his right arm. "One of the spies got something." "He says that the old machine the kingdom has suddenly activated earlier today. It hasn't turned on in over a hundred years, since before the Demon King stole our magic." The man at the desk hummed to himself for a moment. "Interesting. I have my suspicions, but find out what it means. If magic is returning to Edolas..." He stood up and walked around the desk. As he approached the doorway the bigger man stepped aside. Once in the light, it was obvious who this was. His red eyes, red hair, and uncaring expression. It was the Edolas counterpart of Maddox Colburn. "Then I want to be the first to harness it." The bigger man nodded in agreement. "Aye. Power is everything. There are already few who can oppose us, master." After stepping out into the lit room, it was revealed to be some kind of hall full of people. It looked just like a guild. One could easily mistake it as such if it wasn't for the large board on the wall above a fireplace that was labeled: KILL COUNT, with various names and tallies underneath. "Listen up!" Maddox announced, ceasing the noise that was the rough and tough crowd before him. "I'm issuing a personal mission."
