Devika did as she was instructed, and groaned in pain as she tried it out. "Oww! Oh, holy crap..." She winced and held her abdomen. "Man, is it supposed to hurt like that?" She poked her soft stomach with a fingertip.

Kijani knew he was reading her eyes, and so she turned them to her food. How the heck had she made it through almost all of those pancakes? "Is there a question, Connor?" She snatched up her phone, but before she turned it on, she caught sight of her reflection on the screen. Her hair was half-escaped of it's ponytail, and she'd managed to miss a button on her shirt. The shirt was yesterday's shirt... Was she really losing her mind to walk around in public looking like a slob?

"I'm stressed and I'm thinking." She lifted her shoulders in a weak shrug. "That's kind of a usual mode for me."
