Name: Instaurabo (Latin for ‘repair’) “Star” Model: ??? Appearance: Size: Height: 6’ Weight: 330 lb (Decided by googling the weights of comparably sized robots.) Unit history: Mission: Repair and Redesign Locate and target damaged friendly mechanical assault units to perform emergency field repairs using localized resources. Authorized to use unconvential parts or methods so long as the target is repaired to ‘working order’ defined as ************ of performing intended function. If information on target’s build and purpose cannot be identified, permission is granted to Instaurabo unit to ******************. Friendlies may be identified by **************** as well as source of last given directives. Description: Instaurabo Designed for battle field usage, the Instaurabo was created with two objectives in mind. The first was the durability to withstand warzone conditions, and the second was to preserve the robotic’s intricate dexterity, which was important for their primary role as battlefield engineers. As such, the design of the robot is sturdy and highly resistant to the natural elements (this includes submersion). The armoring of the robot is sufficient to with stand small-arms fire in the extremities, and minor explosions/ concussive blasts to the heavier head and chest plating. Weak points are located in the joints, particularly behind the knee and at the base of the ‘skull’. The flexibility of the Instaurabo is on par with a humanoid, however capable of highly controlled movement. It was not designed for high strength or abnormal speed however. The programming of the Instaurabo focuses on a few specific functions: Assessing function and purpose of a target, as well as state of ‘working-order’. Assessing the error/source of malfuction in a target. Assessing surrounding area for material that can be fashioned/made into a solution. Machining of both material and target until compatible. Re-assessment and testing of repair. Data collection and catalogue for later use. In an emergency, Instaurabo may perform self repairs, or instruct others on procedures, so long as capable. Memory: This model was returned to manufacturer for an automated software upgrade around the time of the event. Shutdown for both transport and whilst updating, Instaurabo was not aware during this period of time. Equipment: Backmounted toolkit (Robotic version of a backpack, except more space efficient.) -Universal Dissassembler: Callibrated handtool capable of replicating any generic tool and it’s size, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, wirestrippers, etc. -Welding Torch: A pen like stylus capable of emitting heat that ranges from that of a saudering iron to a literal blowtorch. -Crowbar: Exactly what it sounds like, except with better alloys. -Lubricant: Generally silicone based, Instaurabo can make due with what he finds. -Diamond Saw: Made for cutting through whatever needs cut. Not all that quickly though. -Battery Pack: A small recharging pack capable of giving a jumpstart in the form of small bursts. Not capable of sustained charges. -Data base: A catalogue registered parts since last update, as well as their specifications. -Remote Control: Even if severed from the main unit, large pieces of Instaurabo can be controlled up to 100 meters away unobstructed. This control will extend through glass and other thin substance but not substantial barriers. Skills: -Knowledge in mechanics/engineering -Knowledge in machining Ranks: Ranging from A to D, A being the strongest, try to keep it balanced, basic abilities that I will reference if need arises Combat: D Memory: B Speed: C Companionship: C Electronics: A Wisdom: B Initializing data retrieval: “COMPLETE”
