As the nullify field disappeared, Damian's Hercules Blades appeared in his hands once more and he kept up the flow of his attack, moving from punches and kicks to slashes and thrusts. However, the longer he went, the more he could feel that inner barrier coming close to breaking. Though that wasn't his purpose. Grane, who's arms were still alight with flame, found that getting an opening to attack the Blade of Phoenix Wing was more difficult than he anticipated, but he was able to launch counter attacks at just the right moment. Damian would strike from the left and be forced to block an attack from the right. Grane struck out with a flaming kick and Damian ducked underneath, striking for the leg still on the ground. Grane leaped and spun horizontally, avoiding the slash. Feinting with a slash with his right sword, Damian instead summoned a Blade Rain, but had it countered by a wall of flame from Grane's hand. After a quick exchange of blows, sparks and flames flying as the pair went, Grane made a mistake and let the blade slide along his cheek, drawing blood and forcing Grane back out of the reach of Damian's swords.

Pulling back, Damian switches blades to the Hermes Blades and then slashes at the air in front of him twice, sending a wave of blades, or two more accurately, flying through the air at the lizard man. Dashing to the left with the spell hopefully acting as a distraction, Damian flanks him, leaping into the air and spinning towards Grane.
