[hider=Division 7's History]The international PMC conglomerate known as RESCUE isn't all about shooting bad guys and blowing things up. When one pulls back the glamour, they would see a sophistication and professionalism of a modern-day corporation (minus the government bailouts due to making the people bankrupt -- ZINGER!). After the head honcho was released from prison and reformed RESCUE, new would-be operators and staff would replace the old. Those who weren't up to snuff. Division 7 was formed by Gentaro "Miza" Mizukuzi, a Japanese scientist and engineer. R&D, as its name implies, is responsible for researching and developing new technologies in order to facilitate a more independent organisation that needn't rely on other nations for supplies.

It took a lot of convincing and favours for Mizukuzi to create his own fireteam. He convinced his superiors to let him have his "pet project", so long as he operated well out of the way of the public face of RESCUE. Safe to say he has no problems complying with this. He gets a generous amount of funding and playtime with all the latest toys. His operators even get to wear his division's logo, so everyone knows who his "children" are. Life for Gentaro Mizukuzi is good.
