Yes, it matters; most of the heroes did kill people, but it was entirely their own choice - they weren't indoctrinated to believe they wanted to kill, they weren't influenced while young to believe that they are a living weapon/killing machine, they had powers, they chose to use it as adults, and chose to kill without childhood brainwashing to convince them that it was a good idea.

And, again, Adam is insulting Cedric for refusing to be coerced and brainwashed, and, again, is proud of being a living weapon [i]without a normal childhood[/i]. That is not a good thing.
