Let's see how to explain it....Vitae Manipulation is a True Vampire's spirit, a "born" one you could say. Vampires draw their magic from their spirit as to use magicks which could be elemental or perhaps something else such as Umbrakinesis. It has MANY applications and uses. It is anti magical due to the fact that the Spirit of the Vampire can only be controlled by oneself (vampires can't control each others' Vitae) and if I remember correctly Vitae is anti magical in that sense that it's another...."layer" of magic. To counter it you'd need to use Vitae against Vitae or not use magic, I myself use it to force opponents into a fair-fight situation. I'll see if I can dig up more on it. 

Distance Manipulation has the following uses I am aware of, it is the ability of warping distances from one point to another:

-Teleporting
-Suspending Projectiles and Magics in midair, you could call it "Isolating
-Suspend someone's movements.
-Take an object such as a heavy boulder and warp the distance to nothing between it and the opponent.
-Manipulating distances on a smaller level, such as Atoms and all that. (I don't have this confirmed yet, nor can I find a proper use yet, either)
-Disabling machines/guns, warping the distance inside the machine tyinmake the mechanisms be too far away from each other.
-Manipulate the organs inside someone's body, usually the heart so as blood never arrives to it.
