By the time she had gathered her thoughts, he had already left. She sighed, turning back to Sable. She knew she should probably follow the man's advice, but something in her made her want to get SOME kind of victory out of this.

"Fine, I won't make you a pacifist, but I have a new condition instead."

The text on the barrier rearranged itself once more, creating an entirely new message.

[i]Sable will not leave this barrier until he agrees to allow Cynthia to accompany him and Aiden on their mission.[/i]

"I don't care where you're going or what you're doing, I just want to get out of here and back under the open sky again."

She smirked at the fiery boy. "Well, do we have a deal?"
